AFRICA
Lion
On our family trip to Africa, we stopped at a private game reserve. I’m just the first night, we were able to find this adult male lion. His menacing gaze scared me as he seemed to be in deep thought. Maybe about Simba and Mufasa?

AFRICA
Cape Buffalo
One of the Big 5 in Africa, the Cape Buffalo is one of the most dangerous. As we were on a game drive in the morning, we found this Buffalo walking along the path and we were careful to ensure it was not startled. Our guide told us that the Cape buffalo is the most dangerous of the Big 5 (Elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, rhino, and leopard) because they do not have a warning before they charge.

AFRICA
African Bee Eater
The African Bee Eater was by far the prettiest bird I was able to capture on my camera during my stay in Africa. The bright orange and yellow make it noticeable to us, but camouflaged for other animals. This bird in particular was perched on this branch in search of its next meal.

AFRICA
Leopard
This leopard was in Chobe National Park and drug an antelope into the tree with it to eat. You can see the blood from the prey on the right cheek of the leopard.
