TEXAS

Armadillo

My uncle lives on a ranch in Texas. He told me that armadillos are almost blind and rely on their hearing a lot which allows people to get close to them. When I saw this armadillo, I was able to get within arms reach and take this shot before he heard me rustling in the tall grass and scurried off.

TEXAS

Flower Field

At my Uncle’s ranch in Texas, these flowers were growing near the barn where he keeps his tractor. I was able to take this shot by placing my camera at almost ground level. This was one of the first photos I took that made me find my love for photography.

CATALINA ISLAND

Seagulls

I was able to secure this shot while a flock of seagulls were diving for their lunch in a school of bait off Catalina island.

CATALINA ISLAND

Catalina Sunrise

In Catalina, there is a hike my siblings and our friends do every time we go. We wake up early in the morning before sunset and hike up a hill with a cross at the top to watch the sunrise and enjoy our time together.

CATALINA ISLAND

Cross at Sunrise

At the same hike in Catalina there is a cross at the top of the hill.

COSTA RICA

Toucan

A toucan perched on a branch in front of our hotel room. Looks like he needed to rest his wings in front of an ocean view.

COSTA RICA

Sloth

This sloth makes his way up a branch. That green coloration is green algae that grows on them.

COSTA RICA

Orb Weaver

This orb weaver spider was huge! Its legs were around an inch long and was just sitting in the middle of the web. They are called Orb Weavers because they build 3 dimensional webs.

COSTA RICA

Hungry Monkey

This monkey clings on to a branch just above us eating an apple. The strength they have to bond themselves up with their feet and tail is incredible.

COSTA RICA

Monkey See

The same monkey, looks for bugs on a log for his next meal.

COSTA RICA

Unknown species

While I am unsure of the species of this bird, it’s beauty still amazes me. The bright yellow breast and belly with the black stripe over the eyes create a beautiful contrast on the bird.

COSTA RICA

Hot Springs

These Natural hot springs were closer to central Costa Rica, and were so nice to sit in. While some of them were as cold as low 70s, others reached temperatures of the low 90s.
